Technical Services
Eastern Alloys offers an unique customer driven technical assistance/consulting program, using a combination of metallurgical techniques and an expert understanding of the dvarious zinc casting processes, we can help our die casting customers quickly determine the root causes of difficult die casting issues.
Marketing Zinc Die Casting
Eastern Alloys' marketing programs are beneficial to both our die casting customers as well as to end users. The content found in this website is designed to provide sufficient information so that designers and engineers can learn about and understand the advantages of zinc die casting. In addition to technical properties, marketing information such as videos and case studies are provided. Also, talk to us about the option of webinars and seminars.
Price Risk Management
Because the business of buying and selling zinc alloys is not without risk, Eastern Alloys manages a formal price-risk management facility available to every Eastern Alloys customer. The goals of a price-risk management strategy are to identify and manage exposure to risks associated with the variability and volatility of the underlying zinc price, over time. Corresponding objectives include protecting selling price and/or margin. In some cases, a price-risk management program can contribute toward long-range market share objectives.
Eastern Alloy's Quality
Each Eastern Alloys facilities, Maybrook, NY and Henderson, KY are ISO 9002 registered. With close order support from the Maybrook staff, Eastern Alloys of Kentucky earned its ISO registration in November 2000, a short 7 months after its Grand Opening. While there are many ISO registrars, none is more thorough than UL, Eastern's Registrar. Maintenance audits are an important part of the company's commitment to continuous improvement. In August 1996, Eastern Alloys was awarded with American Association of Laboratory Accreditation, or A2LA. Among analytical instruments at Eastern Alloys are Spectro AES units and an ICP (Inductively Coupled-argon Plasma) spectrometer. Of the two technologies, AES analysis is often preferred because of its combination of speed and accuracy.
